Student Staff Members

Each year the Unitec Veterinary Hospital employs a student or two, from the Unitec Veterinary Nursing Course.  We aim to provide a positive learning environment for these chosen students,  to learn as staff, as well as students.  Staff responsibilites are far greater than student responsiblities, so these staff members work rostered Weekends, Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays during their studies at Unitec.  Hopefully, they will gain some invaluable experience during their time with us.

This year we are extremely lucky to have Sarah Thomson & Martina Lovberg.  They have been working with us since October/November last year, no doubt you have seen their smiling faces at reception.

Martina Lovberg

Martina is originally from Sweden studying the DVN at Unitec. She loves the friendly people here and New Zealand nature. She plans on moving to Hong Kong next year to do the Bachelor of vet nursing and rehabilitation. She is friendly, caring and passionate about working with animals!

Sarah is now back in Auckland flatting out West with her 2 cats. Sarah is a very happy and positive person who will always give clients a smile and their pets a cuddle!

Both Martina & Sarah are currently completing their Diploma in Veterinary Nursing at Unitec.  We wish them both well for their end of year exams & for their prosperous futures.
